To choose the right machine, it’s worth considering a few important factors:

• Will you be working indoors or outdoors? This determines whether an electric- or diesel-powered machine is the right choice.
• What are the ground conditions like? Different types of machines perform best on concrete, pavers, gravel, or uneven ground.
• What is the required working height? It’s important that the machine can safely reach the desired work area.
• How much space is available? In narrow hallways, doorways, or crowded work areas, a compact machine may be necessary.
• How close can the machine be moved to the work area? If it is not possible to position the machine directly beneath the work site, lateral reach is also an important consideration.
• What kind of work will be performed? It is worth considering how many people will be working on the platform and what tools or materials will be carried up, as this determines the required load capacity.

Scissor lifts, articulated-telescopic boom lifts, and telescopic boom lifts are designed for different tasks, so it’s always best to choose the one that’s right for the job at hand. A scissor lift raises the load straight up, making it practical when a stable work surface is needed—for example, in a hall, warehouse, or for facade work.

The articulated-telescopic boom lift has an arm that can move at multiple points, making it easier to reach over or around obstacles. This is particularly useful in places where it’s difficult to access the work area directly, such as around buildings, in industrial settings, or for tree care work.

The telescopic boom lift operates with a straight, telescoping boom and is primarily a good choice when you need to reach great heights as quickly and precisely as possible. It is ideal when there is no need to navigate around obstacles, but a long reach and direct access are important.

If the work area is directly above the machine, a scissor lift is usually the best solution. If obstacles need to be cleared, an articulated-telescopic boom lift offers greater flexibility. And if you need to reach great heights in a straight line, a telescopic boom lift may be the best choice.

The electric models are primarily recommended for indoor work. They operate quietly, emit no harmful substances, and are easy to maneuver even in tight spaces. In warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or other enclosed spaces, these are generally the best choice.

Diesel-powered machines are designed for outdoor use. Thanks to their more powerful engines, they perform well on uneven terrain, at construction sites, or for jobs requiring greater working heights and load capacities.
