S 85 4 WD

There are electric (battery-powered) and diesel-powered types of telescopic boom lifts. They are generally used for working at high heights or requiring long reach, as their reach often exceeds that of other lifting equipment.

General characteristics of telescopic boom lifts:
  • Telescopic boom lifts are machines that use an arm that extends in a straight line to position a cage that can be swivelled left and right in the desired area.

  • This design provides the vertical reach needed to reach the work area at great heights, while the horizontal reach of the lift also ranges widely.

  • The lifting basket can usually be used safely by several people, with a load capacity of the basket ranging from 227kg to 454kg.

  • The telescopic boom lift can also be used by workers to safely carry out maintenance work on buildings.

  • Thanks to the stool’s non-continuous/continuous 360-degree rotation, it can cover a large working area – even when working around a building.

Benefits of using

Designed for outdoor use, the Genie S-85 four-wheel drive diesel telescopic boom lift is a lifting machine for construction and other industrial work sites, available with an alternative LPG tank – autogas powered – and three different tyre options. With a wide range of alternatives and options, the Genie S-85 4WD boom lift can be flexibly adapted to the customer’s needs.

  • 1.

Equipped with a fully rotatable swivel stanchion, combining a working height of 27.91 m with a load capacity of 227 kg and a horizontal outreach of 23.30 m, the telescopic basket lift’s boom ends in a 2.44 x 0.91 m steel lifting basket, which allows two people to work.

  • 2.

The 160° rotating lift basket can be opened and closed from both sides, and the platform is powered by 12V DC to supply the electrical devices.

  • 3.

The safety of the operator is also supported by tilt and descent alarms.

  • 4.

The maximum travel speed of the telescopic boom lift is 5.4 km/h when lowered, but the maximum safe speed limit is 1 km/h with the basket released.

  • 5.

Able to safely working 45% slopes and loading ramps, the S-85 4WD diesel telescopic boom lift allows you to work safely on difficult, uneven terrain.

Tank capacity

  • The boom lift’s fuel tank can hold 132 litres of diesel.
  • Alternatively, models equipped with an LPG tank can hold 114 litres of LPG.
  • The maximum tank capacity required to operate the hydraulics is 151 litres.
